KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — HK Express, a prominent low-cost carrier and a member of the Cathay Pacific Group, has officially launched its new direct service between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. The inaugural flight, UO716, touched down at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) on August 1, 2025, marking a significant expansion of the airline’s network in Malaysia.

The new route is the airline’s second in Malaysia, building on the success of its existing Penang service. It establishes a daily direct connection between Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Subang Airport (SZB), utilizing modern 182-seat Airbus A321 aircraft. This provides travelers with a convenient and affordable option for accessing Malaysia’s vibrant capital.

Strategic Gateway for Travelers

Subang Airport’s strategic location, just a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur’s city center, offers passengers swift access to major attractions. Visitors can easily reach iconic landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers, explore the bustling shopping district of Bukit Bintang, and immerse themselves in the city’s renowned food and cultural scenes. This makes the route ideal for both leisure and business travelers seeking quick, direct access to Malaysia’s urban and cultural hubs.
