The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia Chennai, hosted an engaging two-day showcase on 8th and 9th November 2025 at Express Avenue Mall, offering visitors a vibrant preview of what’s in store when Malaysia opens its arms to the world in 2026.

Adding flavour to the festivities was the Malaysia Food & Cultural Festival, held concurrently at The Black Kitchen, Somerset Greenways, from 7th to 9th November 2025. Guests indulged in iconic dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Satay, and Laksa, complemented by Malaysian sweets and beverages, underscoring the country’s reputation as a global culinary crossroads.
Tourism Meets Innovation
The event also highlighted Malaysia’s renewed tourism strategy under the Malaysia MADANI initiative, emphasizing sustainability, inclusivity, and community-driven tourism. Visitors explored exclusive travel promotions, special packages, and collaborations with AirAsia, further strengthening Malaysia’s positioning as a preferred travel destination for Indian tourists.
