The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an official statement regarding a strong earthquake that occurred near the Kuril Islands late on 30 July 2025. The earthquake registered a magnitude of 6.0 and occurred at 10:47 PM (Malaysian time).
