Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Important Alert: Malaysian Travelers Heading to Thailand Must Complete Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC New Rule from May 1, 2025).

Planning a trip to Thailand? Take note of a major update that will impact all international travelers starting May 1, 2025.

The Thai authorities have announced a significant change in the immigration process: completion of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is now mandatory for all travelers entering the country. This new requirement replaces the traditional paper-based TM6 form, which was previously filled out upon arrival.

What You Need to Know:

  • TDAC is compulsory starting May 1, 2025.
  • The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) must be completed online before you travel.
  • No TDAC = No Entry.
  • Failure to complete the form in advance could lead to long delays or even being denied entry into Thailand.

This digital shift is aimed at streamlining immigration procedures and improving the efficiency of arrivals at Thai border checkpoints.

What to Do Before Your Trip:

  1. Visit the official TDAC website (link to be confirmed by authorities).
  2. Fill in your travel and passport details online.
  3. Submit the form before boarding your flight to Thailand.
  4. Keep a copy (digital or printed) ready for immigration checks.

Why Is TDAC Important?

Just like MDAC in Malaysia, TDAC will help Thailand immigration officers process arrivals faster, enhance border security, and create a smoother travel experience for everyone.
But if you forget to fill it, it could cause serious inconvenience — including being sent back to Malaysia!
