KUALA LUMPUR, 5 August 2025 – Malaysia Airlines has announced that it will increase its service frequency between Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) and Kuala Lumpur to daily flights starting 1 December 2025, up from the current four-weekly operations.

This move comes in response to growing demand since the route’s debut in 2023, making it easier than ever for travellers in South India to access Malaysia and other key destinations in East Asia.

🤝 Strengthening Tourism with Kerala’s “Look East” Initiative

In a significant development, the airline has also partnered with Kerala Tourism under the “Look East” initiative – a strategic effort to promote regional travel between East Asia and Kerala. Officially launched in Trivandrum, this initiative aims to deepen bilateral tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges.

“India remains a key focus market for Malaysia Airlines,” said Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines, Malaysia Aviation Group.
“This frequency increase reaffirms our commitment to serving South India’s growing travel demand while enhancing trade and tourism between the two countries.”
