Begin your adventure at Kuala Tahan where you will meet your licensed nature guide and prepare camping equipment, food supplies, and drinking water before entering the rainforest. After ranger approval, enjoy a scenic one-and-a-half-hour boat ride to Kuala Keniam before starting an 8.6-kilometer jungle trek toward Kepayang Besar Cave. Along the route, cross rivers and experience the dense tropical rainforest before arriving at the cave campsite where you will prepare dinner, set up your sleeping area, and spend the night in nature. The following morning continue trekking approximately 8 kilometers to Kuala Terenggan before returning by boat to Kuala Tahan with a stop at an Orang Asli village for a cultural visit.

Itineraries

Day 1

Kuala Tahan to Kepayang Besar Cave

Meet your guide at the operator office in Kuala Tahan for registration and preparation. Collect camping gear, food, and water before boarding a boat to Kuala Keniam. Upon arrival, begin the rainforest trek through jungle trails and river crossings toward Kepayang Besar Cave. Once at the cave, set up your resting area, prepare meals, relax, and enjoy an overnight cave camping experience deep inside Taman Negara.

Day 2

Jungle Trek & Orang Asli Village Visit

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest and continue trekking toward Kuala Terenggan. After completing the jungle trail, board a boat back to Kuala Tahan. Along the journey, stop at an Orang Asli village to learn about the indigenous community’s traditional lifestyle and culture before concluding the tour.
