Malaysia’s iconic sports and entertainment landmarks in Bukit Jalil have officially received new names following a major naming rights partnership with Telekom Malaysia. The rebranding, effective 6 March 2026, signals a fresh chapter for the country’s flagship venues as they aim to attract world-class sports competitions and entertainment events.

New Names for Bukit Jalil Venues

As part of the collaboration with Telekom Malaysia:

  • Bukit Jalil National Stadium is now TM National Stadium
  • Putra Indoor Stadium (formerly Axiata Arena) is renamed Unifi Arena

The three-year naming rights agreement ensures both stadiums stay competitive and relevant for international audiences.

Enhancing Facilities for Visitors

PSM Chief Executive Officer, Illiyas Jamil, highlighted that revenue from the naming rights will be invested in upgrading stadium infrastructure and enhancing visitor experiences.

“As caretakers of the National Stadium and Putra Indoor Stadium, we are committed to ensuring these facilities remain at the highest standard for Malaysians,” he said.

Planned improvements include modernized seating, upgraded amenities, and better facilities for athletes and concertgoers.

Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Group CEO of Telekom Malaysia, expressed pride in supporting the iconic venues:

“Through this collaboration, we hope to further strengthen both stadiums so they remain places that unite communities and inspire national pride for future generations.”
