What travellers need to know

This applies to tourists, business travellers, long-term residents and other passport‐holders.

How to apply

  • Timeframe: Complete the card within 72 hours before your arrival in Indonesia.
  • Website: Fill it out on the official website: allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. The website is available in English.
  • App: You can also use the official “All Indonesia” mobile app, available on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
  • Details needed:
    • Personal and passport information.
    • Flight and transport details.
    • Accommodation details in Indonesia.
    • Customs declaration (number of bags and goods).
    • Health declaration (recent travel history and current symptoms).
    • Information for electronic device (IMEI) registration.
  • Confirmation: You will receive a QR code via email that you must save or print to show on arrival.

Key points

  • Who needs it: All international visitors, including tourists, business travelers, and children/infants, as well as returning Indonesian citizens.
  • Cost: The arrival card is free.
  • Purpose: It is a mandatory digital declaration for entry, not a visa. You must still obtain the correct visa separately if required.
  • Mandatory: As of October 1, 2025, it became mandatory at all international airports and will soon be required at seaports and land crossings.

Key details:

  • The platform (accessible via website or mobile app) integrates the previously separate forms for immigration, customs, health and quarantine into one single form.
  • Users submit details including personal data, travel and transport information, and health/customs declarations. After submission they receive a QR code for presentation upon arrival.
  • The system is free of charge and supports multiple languages, intended to make arrival processes faster and more efficient.
  • The rollout has started at major airports (including Soekarno‑Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, and Juanda International Airport in Surabaya) and is planned to expand to all international airports and seaports by October 1 2025.

Why it matters

For travellers such as yourself, this change streamlines the pre-arrival documentation process. Rather than filling out multiple different forms (immigration card, health declaration, customs form etc.), you now have one unified digital submission. For travel bloggers, tour operators, frequent flyers and travel planners this means fewer administrative hurdles and reduced risk of delays at border control.

Recommended actions for travellers

  • Prior to your trip, visit the official site: allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id or download the All Indonesia mobile app (available on iOS and Android).
  • Fill out the form at least three days (D-3) before departure. Avoid waiting until arrival to complete it, as that may result in delays at immigration/customs.
  • After submission, save or screenshot your generated QR code and keep it handy for the arrival process.
  • Ensure you have all other required travel documents (passport validity, visa/e-visa, etc.) as this declaration does not replace visa or immigration requirements.
  • For your travel blogging work: update any travel guides, blog posts or itinerary templates to reflect this new requirement. It could be a helpful “change in entry rules” story for your audience.

Implications for travel industry & operations

This measure reflects Indonesia’s shift toward digital border management and streamlined traveller flows. For tourism-industry stakeholders, it offers improved efficiency, reduced queueing, better data collection and enhanced security screening. From a corporate perspective, the unified platform reduces administrative fragmentation, simplifies compliance for inbound travelers and supports Indonesia’s broader goals of digital transformation in travel and tourism.
